Don't let a little rain stop you from visiting the Botanical Gardens. The jungle canopy inside the Gardens will keep you dry. To get there, take the Universidad exit on the metro just north of downtown Medellin. The entrance is right across the street. Admission is free.
At the Botanical Gardens you can relax on a park bench next to a lily pond, visit a butterfly exhibit or stroll through a bamboo forest. There are plants from around the world at the Gardens, but the tropical fauna stands out. Keep an eye out for parrots swooping down through the orchids and hibiscus.
I love this! If I were you I would print that map you made and frame it.It is effectively impossible for the City to meet its waste reduction goals with an every other week collection schedule.
I'd like to know, too. There are also items that used to be recycling fodder but have since been knocked off the list.
